Geez, there's like 5 categorization steps to sort through now. And they're all labelled "Step 1." Anyways, this is the final version of the Sunny Heights Zoo constructed for Pixeldam. To see it in context of the city, visit pixeldam.net and click on "Sunny Heights."
(The people are based on the traditional Pixeldam style, and so only their outfits and such are my design. The style was created by someone else, perhaps Barry.)
I absolutely adore this. The animals look fantastic, and the textures, shading, and design are amazing. The 'un-geometric' parts like the snake on the reptile house, the trees, the rocks, etc, look really great and blend well with everything else.
That's a big project, nicely done. Your part is very detailed, not just on shadows but on the content of the scene, with pidgeons, the painting, the info chart on the wall... I also like that is crowded, there's a lot to look at, nice job.
But for the whole thing
The only thing for me is the shadows, like on the Albinoblack Sheep building, the people on the roof, shouldn't they have a shadow?, and the car parked there, just like on the Car Parade building, i think this is something that should've been a focal point for this. I think the light source and it's effect is a big part for the depth of a pixel art piece, specially such a big one like these.

I lost my marbles.
And I really miss the green one, too
Totally awesome stuff.
